Operation Homefront of North Carolina desperately needs your help to meet the increasing calls for assistance from struggling military service members and their families.
While service men and women are deployed to combat zones overseas, many families at home struggle not only with the stress of their loved one putting themselves in harm's way but also with financial crises that often arise - due to no fault of their own. For many, they fall behind on rent or mortgage payments; utilities; car payments or credit card bills. They find that bills begin to grow and they cannot afford to buy groceries.
Many service men and women, who return home wounded, find that Veterans Administration (VA) benefits may take months to be finalized. While they await being assessed or for their payments to begin, they may find their bills begin to mount. Money becomes so tight that decisions must be made on what to pay - rent; utilities; car payments, even medications.
Operation Homefront of North Carolina, through its Emergency Financial Assistance program, tries to keep these brave military service members and their families from losing their homes, becoming deep in debt or going hungry.
